Pick up those weights!
This week begins the wedding week: My daughter gets married on Friday so this is a week of whirlwind activity! Been very careful with my eating, and trying to maintain, so I can fit into my wedding dress!
I am not teaching classes this week but keeping up with my own workouts. This morning I did a weight training workout, and I was sweating! Felt good to focus on the weights and I can feel strength building.
Did you know that when you build lean muscle mass through weight or resistance training, you are building lean muscle tissue that burns calories even when you are resting? A lot of women shy away from weights and don’t realize how important weight training is for metabolism, burning calories, etc. If you choose a weight that you are able to do 12 to 15 reps of, that is the way you will tone, and increase your body’s metabolism. So pick up those weights and get training! You will love the results!
