A Little Rest Goes a Long Way
Today was a day of rest. I could feel that even though my body felt like it was recovering from the slight illness, I could still feel some fatigue, and so I needed to take a day off. Also, I hadn’t taken a break in like 4 days so it was necessary.
When you listen to your body, you can really achieve much in terms of fitness, because ultimately, your body knows what you need. So many times. people think you have to just work work work, and don’t realize how important rest is for your body. During recovery, a lot of important things happen: strength gains, repair of muscles, overall recovery of your body. So if you give your body at least one day of rest a week, you will see important things happen. Also if you are sick, you won’t further suppress your immune system by not taking time to rest.
