Do what challenges you

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; I HATE RUNNING.  But I make myself do it at least once a week, because it is a huge challenge.  Take this morning:  I got up, knew I needed to run, and made myself run (kicking and screaming the whole time) even though I didn’t want to.  To make matters worse, it was one of those runs, where I felt like I was slogging through mud the entire time!  I ended up only running 1.5 miles and felt like a failure.  I am HORRIBLE at running.  But I will continue to challenge myself because I know that in time, I will see improvement.

At night I taught a tough cardio resistance class, and felt like my muscles got an awesome, tough workout.  That made me feel SUCCESSFUL.
