Setting Goals
One of the most important things you can do to make changes is to set realistic, doable goals. Right now, as I anticipate starting my Birthday Transformation Journey, I am setting goals for myself. There are 2 kinds of goals to set: General, and Specific. I thought I would share my goals for the next year on my journey with you.
My general goals are the following:
- Lower body fat
- Exercise more
- Eat CLEAN daily
- Drink water daily
- Limit alcohol consumption
After you decide on general goals, you need to think about Specific goals, as these are the goals that will help you achieve your overall goals. They should outline EXACTLY what your goals will entail, and when you will accomplish them. Here are my Specific goals:
- 18% body fat by the end of the 365 days
- Exercise 5-6 x a week
- Eat according to the Fast Metabolism Diet
- Drink 1/2 bodyweight in ounces
- Only 1-2 drinks per week
Now I have a specific daily/weekly/monthly/yearlong plan of action. This is CRUCIAL to accomplishing what you want to do. If you just have some vague idea of what you want to do, you won’t have a clear plan of action and you will most likely fail. By writing out general and specific goals, you will be setting yourself up to WIN! Start writing those goals today!
